Knights Downed by Alice Lloyd Eagles

12.3.2013 | Kentucky Christian University -- Grayson, KY

In the second game of tonight's doubleheader, the Knights took on the Eagles of Alice Lloyd College. This was the second time the teams had met, having played at Pippa Passes 4 weeks ago, with KCU falling by 12 points that night. The Knights played as a squad, and moved the ball well, but could not match up with Alice Lloyd. At the half, KCU was down 30-50, but played the second half only 4 points behind the Eagles, falling at a final tally of 83-59.

KCU was led by Trevor Hunt with 14 points and 6 rebounds, and he was the only Knight to make double figures. Ace Puckett, Dylan Genung, Tyler Farley, and Ros Goodwin each dropped in 8, while Puckett pulled down 8 boards. KCU shot only .333 from the floor, and a paltry .583 from the stripe. Alice Lloyd shot .600 from the floor, but only .462 from the foul line.

The Knights are next in action against Edison Community College on Friday at 8 PM, at Hillsboro, Ohio, in the SSCC Basketball Classic. On Saturday, the men's consolation game is at 1 PM, and the championship is at 5 PM.
