Lane Knost To Travel With Athletes In Action

5.7.2014 | Kentucky Christian University -- Grayson, KY

Kentucky Christian University Football player Lane Knost, a Senior Wide Receiver from Williamstown, WV has committed to travel with the Christian ministry Athletes in Action this summer. Lane and his teammates are headed to Puebla, Tamaulipas, Mexico where they will spend several days working out with and competing against the teams from Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP) and Monterrey Institute of Technology.

Their 10-day Mission Trip will be using the platform of American Football to elevate the fundamentals of the game in Mexico, to help the athletes grow in their relationships with Jesus, and to help fulfill the Great Commission. The AIA team will be staying in The BAM Center, which is "Business As Ministry" headquarters in Puebla. The BAM Center exists to engage business in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) as well as to evangelize and make disciples in Mexico.

Lane and his teammates will be actively engaged in the mission from May 18 through May 28. Athletes in Action strives to see a Christ-Follower on every team, in every sport, and in every nation. They help athletes and coaches take their passion, faith, and sport to new places as they equip them to become servant leaders. AIA is redefining what it means to be a missionary in today's world.

Lane will be available to speak about the mission when he returns. If your church or group would like to learn more about Lane's mission, Athletes In Action, or college football in Mexico, Lane can be reached at: lknost@kcu.edu.
