The Knights opened their double header weekend against The Crown College Friday afternoon. The first half of the game was pretty evenly matched after the Knights started playing to their potential, Crown got on the board first with a goal in the 15th minute. KCU fought hard and got the goal back late in the first half when #9 Jacob Stewart took the corner kick, #13 Caleb Yankey flicked it off his head and #3 Spenser Lindsey knocked it into the goal. The Knights and Crusaders went into the half tied at 1-1.

In the second half Kentucky Christian had moments of greatness, it was just marred by too many lapses that Crown capitalized on and they lost the game 4-1. After the game head coach Jeremy Miller talked about the effort from his team, “Better effort today. The guys are just having trouble finding the back of the net. I am proud of the team playing hard all the way till the end today. We are looking forward to hosting Johnson University tomorrow.”
