Men's Soccer Signs 'Keeper
The KCU Knights soccer program recently signed Corbin (KY) High School goalkeeper Chace Adkins to the program. Chace was a 2 year starter for the RedHounds, and his goal-keeping career included 13 shutouts. Over those two seasons he allowed .8 goals per game, and in 2012 he was 3-0 in Shoot-0ut/ Penalty Kick situations. In 2012 Corbin advanced to the second round of the KHSAA State tournament, where they were beaten by the eventual champion.
Knights coach Jeremy Miller had this to say, “Chace has a great attitude and drive for soccer. We had many keepers practice with the team this past fall and Chace is one of the guys that rose to the top. A very enthusiastic crowd of more that 100 were on hand to celebrate Chace's commitment to Kentucky Christian University. His coaches talked in depth about his strong work ethic and his love for the game. I'm really looking forward to having Chace on the team and welcoming him into the KCU family."
