Men's Soccer Gaining Momentum

8.22.2014 | Grayson, KY

The Kentucky Christian University Men's Soccer team took an incredible step forward as a program last year. This year has the potential to be even better with a talented recruiting class already looking to make a big impact on the field. Coach Jeremy Miller talks about this seasons schedule, “As a coaching staff, Joshua and I believe that playing teams outside of the Mid-East region gives us the opportunity to become a stronger team overall. We start our season playing NCCAA teams out of the Midwest, South and Southwest. These games will give us a good indication on where we stand in the national picture.”

KCU also has several very tough NAIA opponents on the schedule again this year. Coach Jeremy Miller talks about the upcoming games, “Campbellsville University and Shawnee State will be a good challenge for us. We have a lot of respect for these programs. They are quality teams year in and year out. This area has a lot of good collegiate level soccer teams and we are looking forward to seeing how we stack up against some of the best."

The team will be back on campus in a few weeks ready to begin another season. These guys have been putting in a lot of hard work in the off season. The official season opener starts on August 29th in Toccoa, GA. The Knights play their first home game vs. Johnson University on September 12th at 5:00pm.
