Lady Knights Lose to Indiana University Southeast

The Lady Knights traveled to New Albany, IN on Monday to take on the Lady Grenadiers. A taller front line and a deeper bence for IU-SE gave KCU trouble, and after being down by only 4, 33-37 at the break, the score began to get away in the second half. KCU scored another 33 in the second half, but gave up 47, ending up down by 18 at 66-84. KCU shot only .387 for the game, .308 from the arc, and .667 from the line.

The Lady Knights were led by Tanya Bowens with 30 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals; by Sharonda Jones with 17 points, including 5 of 5 shooting from the foul line; by Jana Glick with 15 points, 6 boards and 3 assists; and by Monica Stevens with 8 rebounds, including 6 on the offensive glass.
