Lady Knights Win at Southern States

The Lady Knights traveled to Hillsboro, OH on Tuesday to take on Southern State Community College. Kentucky Christian proved too much to handle for SSCC, even without NCCAA-II leading scorer Tanya Bowens on the court. Kentucky Christian lead by 30 at the half, 49-19, then kept that same margin in the second half, winning it at 79-49.

KCU was led in scoring by Sharonda Jones with 23 points. Junior forward Jana Glick had a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while freshmen Allie Slone and Paige Warren combined for 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The team pulled down 40 rebounds, and shot .400 from the 3 point arc.

The Lady Knight have secured the Number 1 seed in the NCCAA Mid-East Regional tournament, and will face the Ohio Christian University vs Johnson University winner in about 10 days. They have 2 regular seasons remaining. They are now 16-9 on the season.
