Women’s Soccer Earns Top Spot in Mid-East Region

The Kentucky Christian University women’s soccer team hosted Mid-East Region rival Ohio Christian University Wednesday afternoon and defeated them 8-0. With the win the Lady Knights have gone undefeated in Mid-East region regular season play and will have the #1 spot at the Mid-East Region Tournament.

Freshman Erin Dillow was the leading scorer on the day for KCU with a hat trick. Dillow scored all three of her goals in the first half of the game. The first of the three came off an assist from Freshman Kymmy Owens. Dillow was able to control the ball and create her own shot for the other two goals.

Owens added on to her already big weekend, she was named the NCCAA National Player of the week on Monday October 8, with three assists and a goal.

The Lady Knights are in action again when they travel to Berea College on Tuesday October 16.
