Lady Knights Fall to St. Catherine Patriots

Fresh off their win against Johnson University on Saturday, the Lady Knights hosted St. Catherine College, from the Bardstown, KY area. The Patriots came to Grayson with an 8-3 record.

In the 13th minute, St. Catherine managed a goal, but the Lady Knights' Erin Dillow scored in the 14th minute on a pass from Abby Clay. The Patriots responded immediately with another goal in the 15th minute of play. Though this proved to be the winning goal, it was not the final one that was scored. St. Catherines scored twice more in the opening period, to put the halftime count at 4-1, then put 4 more on the board in the second half to finalize the score at 8-1. The Lady Knights were held to a single shot on-goal, but it proved to be an excellent one. KCU goalkeeper Chelsea Gallinger had 4 saves. KCU took a single corner kick, while St. Catharines was awarded 4 corners.

On Saturday, the Lady Knights will take on Oakland City University at 1 PM at Knight Stadium.
