KCU Volleyball Splits in Nashville; Bruce Dixon Records 400th Career Victory

9.7.2013 | Nashville, TN

The Lady Knight volleyball team traveled to Nashville, TN this weekend, for a big Saturday of volleyball.

The day started at 10 AM (CST) with KCU taking on Welch College (former Freewill Baptist Bible). The KCU Varsity handled Welch 3-0, with Welch only scoring 3, 7, & 6 points in the respective sets. After this win, the new Lady Knight JV squad took the floor against the same Welch team and won a best of 3 match, 25-13, 25-15.

After a quick lunch, they were back on the court across town at Trevecca Nazarene University. Things didn't go as easily against Trevecca, and KCU lost in 4. KCU took the 3rd set, but lost the others by 6, 9, and 7. Trevecca Nazarene competes in the NCAA-II.

While the team had a great day on the court, Coach Bruce Dixon reached a coaching milestone most coaches only dream about. The victory over Welch College represents Bruce's 400th collegiate victory as a Head Coach.

Congratulations Coach Dixon and Lady Knight Volleyball on a great day of representing KCU.
