Booher Joins KCU Volleyball
Louisville Ballard’s Kayla Booher is the newest volleyball player to cast her lot with the Lady Knights. At a ceremony designed to pay tribute all Ballard athletes that are moving on to college careers, Ms. Booher was honored along with 27 other classmates in the fine arts building on the Ballard campus.
Kayla will compete for front row rotations in her freshman season and becomes the second players to commit to Kentucky Christian from the Legacy Volleyball Club. Club teammate Alexis Hays, who had committed in November, was on hand for the festivities as well. Booher also played for Mid-America Volleyball Academy (MAVA) in her club volleyball career.
Kentucky Christian head coach Bruce Dixon had this to say about Booher, “Kayla is a very good athlete and can play multiple positions. Her true strength is at the net and I’m excited to see how she progresses with the speed and strength of the college game. She has such a positive personality that you literally cannot have a bad day around her. Kayla is a great addition to this team!
