Lady Knights Leave Oklahoma Undefeated

1.5.2012 | Kansas, OK

The Lady Knights played their final game of the Cookson Hills Classic on Thursday morning at 11am against Ozark Christian College. The Lady Knights came into the game against the Ambassadors winning their first two games of the Classic. The Lady Knights started the game strong shooting 63% from the field in the first half, and went into halftime with the 48-14 lead. “I really like it when the starters get out and take care of business early in the game and build that big lead so that I can play every player.” (Head Coach Ron Arnett)

The starters came out in the first five minutes of the second half and built on their lead, keeping Ozark to only one shot from the field with their defense. In today’s game the five freshmen got more than 10 minutes of playing time in the second half and the future looks bright for the KCU Lady Knights. The Lady Knights continued their strong defense and kept the Ambassadors to 27% shooting from the field.

The Lady Knights won the game 92-37 and will get back on the road for the two day trip back to Kentucky. The Lady Knights are in action next on January 13, 2012 at Free Will Baptist Bible College.
