The Lady Knights Continue to Have Best Start Ever at 20-0
On the evening of Winter Homecoming the Lady Knights cruised to their 20th straight win on the season beating Johnson University 92-41. It was a special night for many reasons, many former Knights joined us in the stands to celebrate Homecoming, two Lady Knight basketball players were on the Homecoming court, Autumn Carter and Ashley Savage, with Ashley Savage being crowned queen (Knights football player Tyrone Young was crowned King), and we were able to celebrate the many accomplishments of our fall sport athletes.
KCU started out the game with a 13-0 run and didn’t look back. Great team play has lead the Lady Knights to their 20 wins so far this season. With 31 assists on the evening the Kentucky Christian proved once again they distribute the ball well and play as a united team. Behind double digit scoring from Danielle Sorber (10), Tara Weddle (11) and Tanya Bowens (20) the Lady Knights were able to come away with the victory.
A road trip tomorrow to Midway College of the NAIA will be a tough one for KCU.
